Fursys boosts student engagement through scholarship program

Fursys launches scholarships for engineering students, combining factory tours and internship opportunities to enhance human resource connections for its expansion plans in Vietnam.

On 10/4, Fursys Vietnam organized a scholarship award ceremony combined with a factory and office furniture showroom tour for students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, aiming to strengthen connections with young technical human resources. This activity is part of the company's long-term strategy to expand its presence and investment in the Vietnamese market.

The program includes 5 scholarships, each valued at 15 million VND. Students will participate in a paid internship program at the Fursys Vietnam factory in Dong Nai for three months after graduation. Following this period, the company will consider official recruitment. Eligible participants are final-year regular university students in the 2025-2026 academic year, majoring in industrial management, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, materials technology, and civil engineering.

According to a company representative, combining scholarships with practical experience helps students gain early exposure to the manufacturing environment while creating a workforce suited to the company's development needs. As part of the program, students toured the Fursys factory in Dong Nai, learning about the furniture production process from raw materials to assembly and finishing.

The group also visited the Fursys showroom in Ho Chi Minh City, where the company showcases office furniture solutions and workspace design trends. This activity provides students with a comprehensive perspective, from production to product application in a corporate environment.

Through the program, Fursys also presented its production capabilities and development strategy in Vietnam. The company currently operates a factory in Nhon Trach (Dong Nai) and a showroom in Ho Chi Minh City, providing furniture solutions for businesses to establish and upgrade their workspaces.

In late 11/2025, Fursys opened its first showroom in Ho Chi Minh City, displaying ergonomic desks and chairs, office furniture modules, and sofas. Concurrently, the company is implementing plans to expand production in Vietnam. Phase one of the Nhon Trach factory is operational with approximately 450 employees, boasting a capacity of about one million products annually.

Phase two is projected to begin construction with a floor area of 80,000 square meters, increasing capacity to two million products annually, before phase three commences in 2028. Upon completion, the factory is expected to employ about 1,000 workers with a high degree of automation.

Fursys views Vietnam as a key market outside South Korea due to its stable economic growth, young population, and increasing demand for improved work environments. The company stated it will continue to implement activities connecting with students and develop human resources to support its expansion plans in the future.
