A VNG representative stated that approximately 45% of the company's more than 4,000 employees are Gen Z. To harmonize the needs of multiple generations, especially with staff from 21 different nationalities, the company requires a long-term strategy.
The group's leadership believes that various elements must be combined to create an appealing work environment, ranging from the physical workspace to incentive mechanisms that motivate employees. VNG Campus features an open, modern space with diverse amenities, catering to small details such as sports facilities, swimming, food and beverage options, and co-working areas. It also serves as a venue for large-scale internal engagement activities, helping employees learn, gain experience, and develop their full potential.

According to VNG, Gen Z is often perceived as a generation that seeks to experiment with various roles before committing to a long-term career path. In technology companies, flexibility is more evident than in traditional professions, particularly through empowerment. Young employees can be assigned tasks beyond their initial expertise if they are willing to learn, experiment, make mistakes, and correct them.
Many new projects within core business segments such as Zalo, Zalopay, and GreenNode are currently led by young managers, demonstrating the company's trust and openness in delegating tasks.
In a constantly evolving field like technology, major companies place particular emphasis on developing and training core competencies. VNG's training system is structured in two layers: the group level manages core competencies, while each business segment develops specialized training programs. This approach ensures employees are not confined to a single mold but have development paths aligned with their abilities and goals. For many years, promising young talents have consistently participated in in-depth leadership development programs.
Ms. Tran Xuan Ngoc Thao, VNG Human Resources and Communications Director, shared that the company always believes in the potential and growth capability of each individual. Recognizing the gap between one's abilities and job goals, and persistently striving to bridge that gap, serves as a driving force for the entire organization's progress.
"We choose to accompany our employees; each step of their growth becomes a motivation for VNG to move forward. This embodies the 'Grow People' spirit that VNG pursues", Ms. Thao added.
Thanks to its systematic human development strategy and open work environment, VNG has become an ideal workplace for thousands of multinational employees. Also, according to Anphabe's announcement on 19/11, VNG was simultaneously listed among the Top 35 "Best Workplaces in Vietnam – Large Enterprises" and ranked Top 4 in the information technology, software, and e-commerce sectors.
