LH Legal adds partner lawyers

LH Legal Company Limited recently added two former chief judges as partner lawyers, strengthening its litigation capabilities and specialized legal consulting.

Pham Luong Toan, former chief judge of the Criminal Court at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court, and Le Thuy Phuong, former chief judge of the Administrative Court at the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Court, have joined LH Legal's team of partner lawyers.

Pham Luong Toan brings extensive experience in criminal adjudication. During his tenure as a leader at the Criminal Court of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court, he handled many large, complex cases. This experience provides him with deep skills in evidence evaluation, trial management, and distinguishing between civil/economic relationships and criminal liability.

"His involvement is expected to strengthen consulting capabilities in economic criminal, official duty, financial, and high-legal-risk cases," according to an LH Legal representative.

Meanwhile, Le Thuy Phuong possesses broad expertise in administrative, civil, commercial business, and state management. With over 30 years in the judicial sector, including serving as chief judge of the Administrative Court, she holds distinct strengths in cases involving land, administrative decisions, and the responsibilities of state agencies toward businesses. These areas are crucial for investors expanding projects and navigating legal procedural complexities.

An LH Legal representative stated that assembling experts with extensive experience in the court system helps the firm develop in-depth capabilities amidst surging demand for high-quality legal services. "Many large corporations and banks now require more than just resolving a specific dispute; they also demand early risk identification, comprehensive legal strategy development, and protection of interests in sensitive situations," the representative added.

LH Legal is developing a proactive legal partnership model, engaging with clients from an early stage. Instead of only appearing when conflicts arise, the legal team participates from document review and legal strategy formulation to internal dispute resolution and working with authorities. Strengthening its team of senior partner lawyers reinforces the firm's position in the specialized segment, where clients demand a blend of strategic thinking and practical experience.

Le Nguyen Hoa, Managing Director of LH Legal, shared that the firm's core value is its ability to support clients during the most high-pressure management phases. According to Hoa, in sensitive cases, clients require a team capable of perceiving the essence of issues from various angles and exercising high professional prudence. "Inviting experienced adjudicators to join is a strategic addition," Hoa affirmed.

Hoa further noted that for credit institutions and foreign investors, having a consulting firm that understands the legal operations of both businesses and the judicial system is a key factor. Focusing on team quality rather than mere expansion is a significant milestone in LH Legal's journey toward standardized and substantive development.
