Nutifood partners to develop social commerce workforce

Nutifood and the department of radio, television and electronic information launch partnership to develop livestream and social commerce training programs.

On 24/7, in TP HCM, Nutifood and the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) launched a new model to develop human resources for the social commerce ecosystem. This initiative integrates a regulatory body, a training provider, and a business to leverage their respective strengths in workforce development.

Social commerce is experiencing rapid growth in Vietnam, presenting both opportunities and challenges for the market. The rise of key opinion leaders (KOLs), key opinion consumers (KOCs), and content creators necessitates professionalism, responsibility, and compliance in content creation and livestreaming.

To address these needs, the Center for Radio, Television and Electronic Information Measurement and Testing, an entity of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, initiated a program to harness each partner's strengths in human resource development. The regulatory body sets professional standards, the training provider designs the curriculum, and businesses offer practical market insights, bridging the gap between education and industry demands.

Nutifood participates as a business partner, sharing its experience from implementing social commerce in the nutrition and health sector. According to a company representative, this product category demands high accuracy in information, strict adherence to advertising regulations, and significant consumer responsibility.

Through the program, Nutifood provides real business scenarios, product samples, and practical situations from a corporate perspective. This gives content creators early exposure to building social commerce campaigns, collaborating with KOLs/KOCs, and understanding professional performance evaluation criteria.

The program offers more than specialized knowledge; it provides immediate access to a practical work environment during training. Content creators learn business operations, content management, legal compliance, and media responsibility. This enhances their professional competence, boosting their confidence in brand collaborations and their ability to adapt to evolving market demands.

Furthermore, upon program completion and meeting specified conditions, participants can be recognized on the KOLs Information Portal (kol.gov.vn), managed by the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information. This platform aims to enhance professional credibility and offers a valuable resource for businesses and brands.

According to a representative from the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, this collaborative model enhances the program's practical applicability. It ensures participants not only understand regulations but also meet real-world market demands.

Nutifood views its participation as an opportunity to contribute to the broader development of the digital media ecosystem by investing in human resources.

This collaboration between regulatory bodies, training providers, and businesses is expected to forge a new path in human resource development for the social commerce sector.
