According to SSI Securities' financial report, by the end of june, the company's outstanding loans increased by 4% compared to the beginning of last year and grew by approximately 5,000 billion VND in one quarter. Of this amount, 99% was utilized for margin lending activities.
This record outstanding loan balance generated nearly 1,100 billion VND in revenue for SSI, marking a 13,2% increase compared to the same period last year and accounting for over 34% of its total revenue.

Regarding other business segments, investment activities were the largest contributor to SSI's revenue, accounting for approximately 44%, equivalent to 1,462 billion VND, an improvement of 3% compared to last year. Certificates of deposit constituted 62% of SSI's financial asset portfolio, with bonds making up 34%, and the remainder being listed stocks. The company's leadership aims to manage the portfolio by balancing investment efficiency, liquidity, and risk control.
However, brokerage revenue slightly decreased by over 4% to 463 billion VND. The company also maintained strict cost control, reducing its operating budget by over 20% to 871 billion VND. After deducting expenses, SSI reported a pre-tax profit of 1,511 billion VND, a 32% increase compared to the same period last year.
For the first six months of the year, SSI recorded revenue of 6,652 billion VND and a pre-tax profit of 3,122 billion VND, representing increases of 27% and 39% respectively compared to the same period last year. This means the company has completed over half of its annual plan.
As of 30/6, SSI's total assets reached 95,237 billion VND, a 2,4% increase compared to the beginning of the year. Equity stood at 39,668 billion VND, equivalent to 98% of its margin lending outstanding. Additionally, the company holds over 9,000 billion VND in undistributed after-tax profit.
