According to a Newland USA representative, the event not only introduced job opportunities in the automotive sector but also marked the launch of the EB-3 Skilled Trade America (ESTA) strategy. This long-term initiative aims to connect Vietnam's skilled technical workforce with actual recruitment needs in the US, while also contributing to changing perceptions of the EB-3 skilled workers program.
At the workshop, guests received an overview of the demand for automotive technicians in the US, employer recruitment requirements, career development opportunities for Vietnamese technicians, and a structured, professional pathway to participate in the EB-3 skilled workers program.
A Newland USA representative stated that for many years, most workers viewed EB-3 primarily as an immigration program. However, the program's essence is an opportunity for skilled workers to be legally employed, work according to their abilities, and further their careers in an international environment. When employer recruitment needs align with the right workforce, workers not only gain long-term career prospects but also secure a sustainable future for their families.
A key highlight of the program was insights from recruiters and experts, helping attendees better understand the work environment, job requirements, career progression, and the value of vocational skills in the context of the US labor market's high demand for technical trades.
Chau Tam Luan, founder and chief executive officer of Newland USA, said that over many years of working with clients, the company realized the greatest value of EB-3 is not merely completing an application, but enabling workers to continue their career development in the US.
"We aim to shift the perception of EB-3 from an immigration program to a career development pathway based on an individual's skills and experience. When workers bring genuine professional value to the US, sustainable residency opportunities will be the outcome of that journey", Luan said.

According to Newland USA, automotive technicians are the first occupational group introduced under the ESTA strategy, alongside medical glove manufacturing positions, which have attracted significant interest from skilled worker candidates. In the future, the company will continue to research and develop additional technical fields with actual recruitment needs in the US, gradually building an ecosystem that connects recruiting businesses, vocational schools, the technician community, and appropriate immigration solutions for Vietnamese workers.
Through this initiative, Newland USA hopes to foster a new perspective on the EB-3 skilled workers program: US residency is not just about preparing an application, but a career development journey in the US using one's professional skills, thereby building a sustainable future for the entire family.
