4 specialized high schools in Ho Chi Minh City to admit over 2,300 10th-grade students

Four specialized high schools in Ho Chi Minh City are recruiting over 2,300 students nationwide for the 10th grade, an increase of 105 compared to last year.

On 14/4, Nguyen Thi Be Hien, Principal of Le Hong Phong Specialized High School, stated that the school plans to admit 805 10th-grade students, consistent with previous years. This school has the largest admission quota among specialized schools in the city.

Similarly, Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School also maintains its quota of 525 students.

Meanwhile, Hung Vuong Specialized High School in Binh Duong province plans to open a Japanese language class for 35 students, raising its total quota to 455. Le Quy Don Specialized High School in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is increasing its 10th-grade capacity by 70 seats by opening new specialized history and geography classes. Its total quota is 525 students.

The 10th-grade admission quotas for the four specialized schools in Ho Chi Minh City for 2026 are as follows:

The public 10th-grade entrance examination in Ho Chi Minh City will take place on 1-2/6. Candidates wishing to enter a specialized school must take four subjects: Mathematics, Literature, a foreign language (primarily English), and a specialized subject test. The admission score is the sum of the three general subject test scores, plus the specialized subject score multiplied by 2.

Students will register their 10th-grade preferences online from 22/4 to 28/4. Candidates from outside Ho Chi Minh City must submit their applications directly to Le Hong Phong Specialized High School.

Students can register for a maximum of 8 preferences, including three general preferences, two specialized preferences, and three integrated preferences. The Department of Education and Training will announce the number of first preferences for each school by 4/5 at the latest, allowing students to make adjustments between 4/5 and 8/5.
