LQT Institute and Western Sydney University launch bachelor of business program

The WSU-LQT bachelor of business program, a collaboration between LQT Institute and Western Sydney University, offers three specializations, combining an international curriculum with practical business experience for students.

LQT Institute and Western Sydney University have partnered to launch the WSU-LQT Bachelor of Business program for Vietnamese students. This three-year program aims to combine international training standards with practical modules, enhancing students' ability to enter the job market or create business opportunities.

According to an LQT Institute representative, parents choosing universities for their children increasingly consider not only the major but also the training environment and the practical experience students gain. For students interested in business, entrepreneurship, or succession, programs need to help learners develop practical thinking, professional conduct, and real-world capabilities, moving beyond purely academic knowledge.

The program includes specialized modules aligned with Western Sydney University's standards, supplemented with business skills and mindset content designed by LQT Institute. Upon completion, students receive a bachelor's degree from the international partner and a certificate from the domestic collaborating institution.

The main specializations include: marketing, applied finance, and international business. The program structure balances foundational knowledge with applied content, enabling students to grasp theory while gaining practical experience. Program representatives state that the training principles are based on four key elements for a successful business owner: professionalism, adaptability, responsibility, and perseverance.

Teaching methodologies emphasize projects, presentations, and case study analysis. Approximately 70% of the content is applied, with 30% dedicated to theoretical foundations. This approach helps students develop critical thinking, teamwork, and the ability to propose solutions for real-world business challenges.

A key highlight of the program is its modules that foster practical business thinking and soft skills, accumulated from previous generations of entrepreneurs. The "Market Entry & Business Expansion Strategy" project offers final-year students the opportunity to apply learned knowledge to real-world scenarios through market research and strategic proposals for businesses. Additionally, the "Shadow Entrepreneurs" project allows students to shadow a founder or CEO for 6 weeks, observing their decision-making and operational processes.

Concurrently, students participate in business-related activities such as company visits and the LQT Talk event series featuring experts and entrepreneurs. These activities help learners access real-world environments and expand their professional networks.

According to Dr. Ly Qui Trung, the program does not aim to push students into entrepreneurship immediately after graduation. He encourages learners to work for a few years to gain experience before embarking on their own ventures. Students trained with an entrepreneurial mindset who first enter the workforce often exhibit flexible thinking, strong adaptability, and more effective contributions within a corporate environment.
