The Nguyen Khuyen boys' team from Ho Chi Minh City displayed fierce determination before the tournament. Participating for the first time this year, the team aims for a deep run, even targeting the finals.

Tuong Khang, the team captain, described Media Day as an engaging activity. The photo shoot process was quick and provided detailed instructions, allowing teams to adapt easily. "The activity helps the entire team build an image like professional basketball teams, so I am very excited," Khang said.

The VnExpress Youth Basketball Tournament - Ziaja Cup 2026, Ho Chi Minh City region, will take place in late April and early May. Matches will primarily be held on weekends.
In the boys' division, 16 teams are divided into four groups, competing in a single round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. The girls' division features eight teams split into two groups, with the top two from each group proceeding to the semifinals. The boys' and girls' champions from the Ho Chi Minh City region will compete in the Super Cup against the Hanoi champions, which include the Vinschool The Harmony boys' champion and the Phan Dinh Phung girls' champion.
