The Institute of Digital Education and Testing, Hanoi National University, on 15/4 announced the score distribution for the first three rounds of the HSA competency assessment exam in 2026. The average score for more than 57,200 candidates is 78,2/150.
This total score comprises three sections: two compulsory sections—Mathematics and Data Processing (50 questions, 75 minutes), and Literature - Language (50 questions, 60 minutes). For the third section, candidates choose between Science or English (50 questions, 60 minutes). Those opting for Science complete three out of five topics: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, and Geography.
The highest score achieved in the exam so far is 129, one point lower than last year's top scorer. This candidate chose English for the third section.
Conversely, the lowest score recorded is 22. The percentage of candidates scoring 110 or higher is approximately 1,88%, while those scoring 100 or higher account for about 8,5%. More than 45% of candidates achieved a score of 80 or higher, a level many universities use as an admission threshold.
According to Hanoi National University, these percentages remain relatively stable compared to last year.

This year, the HSA will be held in six rounds across eight provinces and cities, involving over 120,000 candidates. It is one of the two largest university-organized competency assessment exams in the country. More than 100 universities utilize HSA scores for admissions.
