The incident occurred two days ago, on april 13, in class 3.6 at Luong The Vinh Primary School, Ben Cat ward. Nguyen Thi My Hanh, the principal, confirmed the events on the evening of april 15.
According to Principal Hanh, the five students were talking and misbehaving in class when their homeroom teacher punished them by making them self-inject with a syringe. The teacher had purchased these syringes for her sick son but had not used them. The teacher has been suspended from teaching starting today.
"The teacher has only been in the profession for three years," Principal Hanh stated. "I was stunned; I don't understand why she had such twisted thoughts and wrong actions."
During a meeting this afternoon, the teacher apologized to the parents for her misconduct and offered to cover the costs of the five students' health check-ups. All five students are currently in normal health, with one needle mark visible on each of their hands.
Principal Hanh determined that the teacher's actions violated teacher ethics and infringed upon the students' physical and mental well-being, warranting severe disciplinary action. The school is finalizing a report to submit to the Ben Cat Ward People's Committee for disciplinary processing.
