For candidates who already have an iHanoi account, the system will automatically send score notifications, eliminating the need for them and their families to access other platforms. After receiving the notification, candidates can enter their exam registration number to view their full results.
Hanoi's four official channels for looking up 10th-grade exam scores are:
| Lookup Channel | Instructions |
| iHanoi application | Select "Tra cuu diem thi va diem chuan vao lop 10 THPT" (Look up 10th-grade exam scores and admission cutoffs for high school); enter the exam registration number, then click "Tra cuu diem" (Look up scores). |
| City's first-level enrollment portal | Select "Tra cuu diem thi vao lop 10" (Look up 10th-grade exam scores); choose to look up by student ID/exam registration number, enter the information, security code, and click "Tra cuu diem thi" (Look up exam scores). |
| Hanoi Department of Education and Training e-portal | Select the banner/notification for 10th-grade exam score lookup; enter the exam registration number to look up. |
| Ha Noi Moi newspaper | Select the banner/special section "Tra cuu diem thi vao lop 10 nam 2026" (Look up 10th-grade exam scores 2026); enter the exam registration number and click "Tim kiem" (Search). |
The Department advises candidates to only check results on the four official channels mentioned and avoid providing personal identification numbers, passwords/accounts, or other information to fake websites or unknown applications.
In 2026, Hanoi has approximately 147,000 junior high school graduates. Of these, over 124,000 registered for the public 10th-grade exam, a record high number. With an admission target of about 82,660 students, the pass rate among test-takers is 66%.
Admission principles for choices are as follows:
- Students who achieve the passing score for their first choice will not be considered for their second and third choices.
- If a candidate fails to meet the cutoff for their first choice, their second and third choices will be considered. This is only applicable if their score is at least 0.5 and one point higher, respectively, than the first choice cutoff score for that school. These two score differences have been reduced by 0.5 points compared to previous years.
All choices are considered concurrently until all eligible candidates are admitted, rather than prioritizing the first choice and only moving to the second and third choices if spots remain.
The Department will accept candidate appeals until 25/6. Candidates will know their appeal results by 9/7 at the latest.
Admitted candidates must complete enrollment procedures, either online or in person, from 25/6 to 27/6. Schools that have not met their admission quotas will hold a meeting to review supplementary cutoff scores on 3/7.
