Admission to specialized 10th grade classes is based on the total score from three exams: Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Language (coefficient one), plus the specialized subject exam score (coefficient two). For integrated classes, the admission score is the total of four exams: Mathematics, Literature, Foreign Language, and integrated English. Students must complete all exams, adhere to regulations, and not receive a failing score (below two).
This year saw a significant increase in applicants to specialized high schools. Le Hong Phong specialized high school received over 5.700 applications, one and a half times more than last year. The competition ratio rose sharply, from 4,9 to 7,13. Similarly, Tran Dai Nghia specialized high school saw over 2.500 applicants, an increase of nearly 900, with its competition ratio increasing from 3,5 to 4,8.
Over 1.300 students applied to Le Quy Don specialized high school in the Ba Ria - Vung Tau area. This represents a competition ratio of 2,52, up from last year's level of two.
