Ministry of Education releases answers for all high school graduation exam subjects

The Ministry of Education and Training released the official answers for all 2026 high school graduation exam subjects on the afternoon of 19/6, one week after the exam concluded.

This release follows the completion of multiple-choice exam paper scanning by 34 provinces and cities, with the data uploaded to the central grading system to ensure fairness.

Localities are set to complete grading by the end of June, with results scheduled for release on the morning of 1/7. Multiple-choice subjects are graded automatically using specialized software provided by the Ministry. The Literature subject, presented in an essay format, undergoes two independent rounds of grading.

On 12/6, Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong emphasized the open-ended nature of the Literature exam questions, stating that "answers must naturally be open". He instructed examiners to respect candidates' opinions and viewpoints, provided they can defend their arguments, even if they challenge the question's content.

This year marks the first time Literature essays are being graded using a rubric method. This approach involves a detailed description of evaluation criteria and their corresponding achievement levels, aiming to ensure fairness and reduce subjectivity in scoring.

After receiving their 2026 high school graduation exam scores, candidates have five days, from 1/7 to 5/7, to request a review if needed.

The answers for the eleven 2026 high school graduation exam subjects, which include Foreign languages (seven languages) and Technology (Agriculture and Industry), are available as follows:

Literature answers - Grading guidelines - Literature grading rubric Agricultural Technology
Mathematics Industrial Technology
English Economic and Legal Education
Physics Russian
Chemistry Korean
Biology Chinese
Geography French
History Japanese
Informatics German

The high school graduation exam, held on 11-12/6, saw the participation of over 1,2 million candidates. The scores from this exam are nearly mandatory for university and college admission applications.

Starting 2/7, candidates can register and adjust their university and college admission preferences through the Ministry's system. This period extends until 17:00 on 14/7. University admission benchmarks and candidates' pass-fail results will be announced after 17:00 on 9/8.
