Search exam scores - 10th grade specialized class benchmark scores for TP HCM
Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Head of the Department of Education and Training office, provided this information on the afternoon of 19/6.
Following the confirmation of enrollment by students admitted to specialized, integrated 10th grade classes and direct admission candidates on 23/6, the Department will process the data to determine the general admission 10th grade benchmark scores.
Mr. Minh stated that this is a standard procedure for TP HCM to calculate the 10th grade benchmark scores as accurately as possible. Annually, hundreds of students are admitted to specialized and integrated 10th grade classes but do not enroll. If the general admission 10th grade benchmark scores were determined without accounting for this group, the results might not be precise.
This morning, the Department announced the admission benchmarks for specialized and integrated 10th grade classes, along with the exam scores of 151,000 candidates.
Candidates admitted to specialized and integrated 10th grade classes must confirm their enrollment online from 19/6 to 23/6. Those granted direct admission must also submit their confirmation documents in person at the admitted school during this period. Failure to do so will result in the candidate being considered as forfeiting their spot and being moved to consideration for the general admission system.
TP HCM's 10th grade benchmark scores over the past three years
The 10th grade exam concluded on 2/6. In the first year following the merger (TP HCM, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Duong), the city had over 151,000 candidates, the highest number nationwide. The exam difficulty was reduced compared to the former TP HCM area, leading many teachers and principals to predict an increase in benchmark scores of about 0,25 to 2 points.
The admission score for the general admission system is the total score of the three subjects: Literature, Math, and English, plus priority points (if applicable). Candidates must take all three subjects, not violate regulations, and not receive a failing score (0 points).
Students' preferences are considered in order. Based on each school's quotas, the Department will admit students from top to bottom until the required number is met, ensuring that the benchmark score for a later preference is not lower than that for an earlier preference.
