The Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the 10th-grade specialized class cut-off scores at 8 PM on 19/6. The maximum possible score was 50, calculated from 4 subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language, and a double-weighted specialized subject.

Last year, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted (Ams) saw its chemistry specialized class achieve the highest cut-off score at 42,75 points. Candidates needed an average of 8,55 points per subject to pass. The English specialized class, also at Ams, followed with 41,15 points.
In contrast, the history specialized class at Son Tay High School for the Gifted had the lowest entrance requirement, with a cut-off score of just 24 points, an average of 4,8 points per subject.
Successful candidates can complete enrollment procedures either online or in person from 25 to 27/6. Schools that do not meet their enrollment quotas will convene to consider additional cut-off scores on 3/7.
The department also announced that it would accept appeals from candidates until 25/6. Results for these appeals will be released by 9/7 at the latest.
Hanoi's 10th-grade entrance examination took place on 30-31/5, involving approximately 124.000 candidates. Nearly 17.000 of these candidates opted to take additional specialized subject exams on 1/6.
The 4 specialized high schools have a combined enrollment capacity of 2.730 students. They received over 20.500 applications in total, with each candidate allowed to apply to a maximum of two schools or two preferences, provided the exam schedules did not conflict.
