On the morning of 11/6, a male student nearly missed his literature exam at Lao Bao High School in Quang Tri province after oversleeping. An invigilator noticed his absence during roll call before the exam began. The exam board promptly alerted the Lao Bao commune police, who located the student's residence, situated over 1 km from the exam site, and dispatched officers to retrieve him.
The student informed the commune police that he had studied late into the previous night, causing him to oversleep. Police officers quickly transported him to Lao Bao High School on a specialized motorcycle, ensuring he arrived just in time for the literature exam. At that moment, all other students had already entered their exam rooms and were awaiting the distribution of test papers.
While instances of students oversleeping or arriving at the wrong location for the high school graduation exam are not common, such situations occur almost every year. To prevent similar incidents, many schools assign teachers to stand at the school gates. These teachers take roll call, allowing them to promptly contact families or provide necessary assistance if a student is missing or delayed.
This year, Quang Tri province is hosting over 21,400 students for the high school graduation exam, held across 63 locations. Authorities reported that today's exam day proceeded safely and orderly, with no staff or students violating regulations.
