Top 15 schools with the highest 10th-grade admission scores in TP HCM

10th-grade admission scores increased at most high schools in TP HCM, with Nguyen Thuong Hien reclaiming the top spot with 24,75 points.

The Department of Education and Training announced the admission scores for 170 public high schools at noon on 30/6.

This year's top 15 schools with the highest 10th-grade admission scores include two representatives from the Binh Duong area: Di An High School and Trinh Hoai Duc High School, both requiring 23,25 points for the first preference. Candidates needed an average of 7,75 points per subject to pass.

Nguyen Thuong Hien High School returned to the leading position with 24,75 points, an increase of 1,25 points from last year. Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School followed, with candidates needing an average of 8,5 points per subject.

Tran Dai Nghia Middle and High School was one of the few schools in TP HCM to see its admission score drop by 0,5 points, falling from the top spot last year to 8th place. In contrast, Gia Dinh High School re-entered the top tier with 23,5 points, an increase of 4,75 points.

Admission scores for the general enrollment system are the sum of the three subjects: Vietnamese Literature, Mathematics, English, and any priority points. Candidates must take all three exams, adhere to regulations, and not receive a zero score in any subject.

The 10th-grade examination concluded on 2/6. In the first year following the merger of TP HCM, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Binh Duong, the city registered over 151.000 candidates, the highest number nationwide. The acceptance rate was approximately 78%.

Admitted candidates must confirm their enrollment online via the city's 10th-grade admission portal, from 30/6 to 15/7.
