According to Next Apple, on the evening of 6/9, Barbie Hsu's mother, Huang Chun-Mei, and husband, DJ Koo, authorized lawyer Teng Cao-Jing to announce legal action concerning the actress.
Recently, rumors circulated claiming that "a Beijing court confirmed Hsu had an affair with DJ Koo in 2018, resulting in a pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage, with evidence to support these claims."
Teng Cao-Jing stated that the information is "false, malicious, and despicable," and insults the reputation of the late artist while causing further pain to her family.

In addition, at the family's behest, the law firm is also pursuing a lawsuit Hsu filed before her death against her former mother-in-law, Zhang Lan, for posting defamatory content online, including accusations of drug use and infidelity.
In August 2024, a Beijing court ordered Zhang Lan to cease posting online content about Hsu's dating, marriage, divorce, and children, in any format, including text, images, audio, and video. However, the lawyer said Zhang Lan has not complied with this ruling. Hsu's side has filed a motion requesting the court to enforce the order against Zhang Lan.
This is one of three legal cases Teng Cao-Jing is handling for the actress. Hsu had also accused her ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei, of defamation. However, after her death, Huang Chun-Mei and DJ Koo decided to drop the lawsuit against Wang.
"We strongly condemn any acts that defame Barbie Hsu, and we will not remain silent. We will not tolerate baseless rumors and will protect her legal rights," a family representative said.
Barbie Hsu and businessman Wang Xiaofei married in 2011 and have two children, aged 11 and 9. After their divorce in 2021, the children lived with their mother in Taiwan, while Wang primarily resided in Beijing. In 2022, Hsu remarried DJ Koo, and Wang remarried in 5/2024.
Hsu died suddenly on 2/2 in Japan. Her children now live with Wang and their stepmother. Born in 1976 in Taiwan, Hsu entered the entertainment industry in the 1990s. In 2001, she gained fame across Asia for her role as Shan Cai in *Meteor Garden*. The show's success catapulted Hsu into a top-tier actress. She later starred in *Mars*, *The Sword and the Blossom*, and *Summer's Desire*.

According to Next Apple, the actress maintained her popularity even after retiring from acting in 2011, amassing a fortune exceeding one billion New Taiwan dollars (over 30 million USD). Her assets include two luxury properties in Taipei's Xinyi District, worth over 500 million New Taiwan dollars (approximately 15 million USD). After her death, DJ Koo stated that Hsu's wealth was earned through her hard work and that she always intended to use it to protect her family. Consequently, he has relinquished his inheritance rights to his mother-in-law.
The singer wrote on social media, "My time with Hsu was precious and irreplaceable. I will protect the things Hsu cherished. This is the last thing I need to do." DJ Koo currently resides in Taiwan, and sources say he visits Hsu's grave daily, talks to her, and seeks inspiration for a sculpture in her honor.
