According to the Associated Press (AP), Los Angeles police encountered Lil Nas X on Ventura Boulevard—a typically busy street in the Studio City neighborhood—around 6 a.m. local time on 21/8. In a TMZ video, the rapper said he was on his way to a party. He also sang and posed for the camera. Earlier, authorities received a report of "a naked man walking down the street."
Officer Charles Miller said Lil Nas X was arrested after attacking a police officer. However, suspecting a drug overdose, they first took him to a hospital. There are currently no further updates on the rapper's condition, other than that he has been released from the hospital and is being held at the Valley Jail in Van Nuys, near where the police found him. Lil Nas X's representatives have not yet commented on the incident.
