Jung Il Woo said despite his busy schedule due to an upcoming television project, he made time to visit Ho Chi Minh City to reconnect with his Vietnamese fans.

Many fans prepared gifts for Jung Il Woo, such as conical hats and dolls. He earned the nickname "Vietnamese son-in-law" after his role in the popular 2006 sitcom "High Kick!". He played a rebellious high school student with a passion for motorcycle racing and a secret crush on his teacher. The series was a hit across Asia, boosting the actor's fame.

The actor showed warmth to his fans. In the new film, "Taking Mom on a Trip", he plays Jeong Min, the Korean husband of the young female protagonist Hanh (Juliet Bao Ngoc). He even performs the Vietnamese song "Le Da" (composed by Tran Trinh) to win her heart.

Jung Il Woo went down to the audience to take photos. When asked about holding a fan meeting in Vietnam, he agreed and promised to return.

The actor shared his fondness for Ho Chi Minh City's street food, including salads, broken rice, and beef pho. In 4/2024, he visited Hanoi, exploring the old quarter, enjoying pho, iced coffee with milk, draft beer, and other local dishes at street-side eateries.
