'Fiesta Tour' brings reproductive health knowledge to schools

The "Fiesta Tour" program equips students nationwide with knowledge about reproductive health and safe sex.

The "Fiesta Tour", themed "Difficult Conversations Made Easy", launched with nearly 1,500 students attending events at the University of Economics - Technology for Industries (UNETI, Hanoi) on 25/9 and the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City (HUB, TP HCM) on 28/9. Organized by DKT International in collaboration with Suc Khoe Viet Magazine, the program is scheduled to visit 10 schools nationwide.

At each school, experts address practical questions and clarify common misconceptions about reproductive health and safe sex. Sensitive topics, ranging from choosing contraception methods to initiating conversations with partners, are presented in a lively, easy-to-understand, and relatable manner.

The program's highlights include team minigames, question-and-answer sessions with experts, and interactive activities at the check-in areas. Students learn about DKT International's contraceptive solutions, such as: Fiesta, OK, and newChoice, enabling them to choose protection options tailored to their individual needs.

According to Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Senior Partnership and Program Officer at DKT International, the right to access accurate information becomes truly meaningful when young people are empowered to translate it into safe and responsible choices.

"Our goal extends beyond communication activities; we aim to help young people understand correctly, know how to protect their health, and feel more confident when making responsible decisions," she stated.

Following the launch events at the University of Economics - Technology for Industries and the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, the organizers will visit universities and high schools across many provinces and cities nationwide, gradually completing their journey from North to South.

The return of "Fiesta Tour" extends DKT International's three-decade commitment to supporting Vietnamese reproductive health. By fostering open dialogue on "difficult conversations", the organization aims to empower young people with reproductive health knowledge, enabling them to confidently make their own decisions.

DKT International has operated in Vietnam since 1993 and expanded into the Mekong region in 2024, currently extending its operations to Laos and Cambodia. The organization focuses on reproductive health education and communication, while also developing diverse contraceptive solutions to help communities access suitable choices.
