Hair loss in young people and comprehensive care

Hair loss is increasingly common among young individuals, primarily linked to unbalanced nutrition and prolonged stress.

The frequent consumption of fast food and items high in saturated and trans fats can disrupt hormonal balance, leading to an increase in dihydrotestosterone (DHT). According to research from The Ohio State University, DHT can cause hair follicles to shrink, shorten the hair growth cycle, and accelerate hair loss.

Prolonged stress is another significant factor. When the body experiences pressure, the adrenal glands release the hormone corticosterone, which disrupts the activity of hair follicle stem cells. A research group at Harvard University indicates that this hormone can cause hair follicles to enter an extended "resting" state, thereby reducing hair growth capacity.

In Vietnam, dermatological clinics report a rising number of young patients seeking treatment for hair loss, with most cases linked to work pressure and an unbalanced lifestyle.

Anh Tuan, 33, a banking manager in Hanoi, shared his experience during a period of intense work and prolonged sleep deprivation. "At one point, I hardly rested, focusing solely on completing tasks. I only started paying attention to my health when I realized my body was exhausted and my hair was falling out more," he said.

Similarly, Thu Trang, 26, a marketing employee in TP HCM, experienced noticeable hair loss while running multiple campaigns consecutively. "There were weeks when I worked late and ate irregularly. After a few months, my hair fell out significantly when washing and brushing, and it even visibly thinned. That's when I realized my body was overloaded," she recounted.

Experts emphasize that hair loss is more than just a cosmetic concern; it serves as an early warning sign of bodily imbalance. Consequently, the current approach to hair care is shifting from external treatments to nourishing the scalp and hair follicles, which are fundamental to hair strength and its life cycle.

Globally, many hair care solutions are evolving to address these underlying issues. Among them is RiHair Spray, a product developed by Taisho Pharmaceutical of Japan, which focuses on supplementing nutrients for the scalp to maintain a favorable environment for stable hair follicle development.

Recently, DHG Pharma (Duoc Hau Giang) and Taisho Pharmaceutical formalized a strategic partnership with RiHair, expanding DHG Pharma's focus into the hair care sector. Both companies are committed to developing science-based solutions and promoting proactive hair care habits, fostering confidence through small daily changes.

This combination helps soothe the scalp, control sebum, improve microcirculation, and support stable hair follicle development.
