One of the three recalled batches is the Yara Professional Protein Shake hair care and spray, in a 200 ml bottle, batch number BFA17Q1C3, manufactured on 17/1 and expiring on 16/1/2029. This cosmetic product, made in China, was distributed to the market by K&N Import Export Trading Training Company Limited (Ho Chi Minh City, TP HCM).

Authorities took a sample of the Yara Professional Protein Shake from K&N for testing. Results revealed the product contained Propylparaben, a preservative not listed in its publicly declared formula. According to the manufacturer's report, while Propylparaben was part of the product's original formula, it was not declared in the cosmetic product announcement form.

Due to the product's circulating formula not matching its declared dossier, the Drug Administration ordered a nationwide halt to its circulation, recall, and destruction of the entire batch. The administration also revoked the product's declaration receipt.

Two other products distributed by Muse Medical Company Limited (TP HCM) were also recalled. Both are skincare cosmetics manufactured in South Korea. These include Recovery Cell Cream, a 50 g tube with batch number QL148 and an expiry date of 28/5/2027, recalled because its formula did not match its declaration. The other product is Cell Solution Snowflackes Cell, under the Peptric brand, batch number J224, expiring on 16/3/2028. The Drug Administration determined that Recovery Cell Cream used "phrases that could mislead consumers into believing the product is a medicine."

The Drug Administration decided to suspend the review and acceptance of cosmetic product declaration dossiers for K&N and Muse Medical for six months.

This action comes as regulatory agencies intensify control over the pharmaceutical and cosmetic markets to prevent counterfeit, substandard goods, and products with misleading labeling or advertising. Statistics from the Ministry of Health indicate that the rate of cosmetic quality violations is currently below 1.5% among over 3,000 samples tested.
