Digital transformation in healthcare extends beyond merely computerizing administrative procedures; it must penetrate the core of the examination and treatment system, from hospital management and electronic health records to the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to support treatment and patient care, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan stated at the cooperation announcement ceremony on 19/5 in Hanoi. This event actualizes the comprehensive cooperation policy between the two countries, following the recent visit of the Japanese Prime Minister to Vietnam.
According to the Deputy Minister, Vietnam's healthcare sector is undergoing a significant transformation, moving towards a smarter, more connected, and patient-centric system. In this evolution, health data, electronic medical records, data-driven hospital management, and AI-supported clinical decisions will play foundational roles. The integration of technology, management, and medicine will ensure effective, comprehensive, and sustainable health care for the population.
Under the cooperation framework, FPT and its affiliated companies are authorized to use the Tokushukai brand in healthcare activities in Vietnam. Concurrently, both parties will develop modern information technology solutions for the healthcare sectors in Vietnam and Japan.
