Dang Hoang Quy was arrested by Gia Lai Provincial Police on 13/12 for rape. The 38-year-old, residing in Pleiku ward, was apprehended just hours after the crime.

According to the investigation, around 3 a.m. yesterday, Quy used a knife to restrain and rape a 19-year-old young woman. The incident occurred at a vacant lot on Nguyen Trung Truc street, Hoi Phu ward, while the victim was delivering sticky rice.

About 3 hours after the crime, Dien Hong Ward Police apprehended Quy. During the arrest, he used scissors to injure two officers. Captain Duong Cao Nguyen sustained a stab wound to the face.
