Around 1 a.m. this morning, a joint force including the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Economic Police, Mobile Police, and Cau Ong Lanh Ward Police (former District 1) launched a surprise inspection of Aplus bar in Ho Chi Minh City. The raid occurred while over 500 patrons and staff were present.
On-site screening and rapid testing identified 17 individuals positive for illicit drugs. Additionally, police detained two people suspected of illegal possession of banned substances.
Investigators are currently compiling records and classifying those involved for further processing.
This inspection is part of a broader campaign to combat crime during the Tet Binh Ngo holiday. Its aim is to tighten management of conditional business establishments and prevent drug-related issues within the city.
