On 19/10, Le Van Khai Vy and 25 other individuals were arrested by the Criminal Police Department (PC02) of Ho Chi Minh City Police. They are being investigated for pimping, organizing gambling, and gambling.
The arrests followed an inspection in early October by PC02, in coordination with other units. The inspection targeted karaoke establishments and hotels in Binh Tan ward, uncovering prostitution activities linked to two venues: Yen Nhu and Holiday.

According to the investigation, Vy and two other individuals contributed capital and assigned managers to operate the businesses. The group is accused of allowing female staff to engage in prostitution with clients outside the venues to increase revenue.
When clients requested sex services, managers would negotiate prices, collect brokerage fees, and arrange for the sex workers. To conceal these activities, employees were instructed to record their reasons for leaving as "going out to eat" or "family matters".
During the investigation into the pimping operation, police determined that Vy was also involved in football betting on the Sbobet website, using an account provided by another person. This discovery proved crucial, leading to the unraveling of a wider online gambling ring.
In the gambling operation, Dam Thua Trung received a betting account with a limit of 5 billion VND. He then assigned Ho Dieu Co to divide this into multiple sub-accounts for organizing bets, with earnings coming from commissions or the difference in wins and losses.
The case is currently under expanded investigation.
