Investigations reveal that on the evening of 20/9, Nguyen Duc Thanh Nam drove a five-seater car out of an alley onto DH 507 Road. Upon reaching the intersection, he crashed into a motorbike driven by 36-year-old Nguyen Thi Thu Van, who was carrying her two sons. The impact threw them into a roadside rubber plantation.
The collision resulted in the death of all three victims. Nam sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. Both vehicles were severely damaged.
According to authorities, the initial cause of the accident was Nam's failure to yield while entering the main road from a side street. His blood alcohol content was measured at 50 mg/100 ml.
