During a concert in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on the evening of 9/8, 21-year-old rapper Apmozart noticed a female fan signaling for help from the audience. Unable to hear her over the music, he handed her his microphone.
The fan explained she had been sexually harassed by a man standing behind her. She described him as overweight, wearing gray clothing, with greasy hair, and about her height.
Apmozart immediately announced his intention to apprehend the alleged harasser. He instructed staff to close the exits and review security footage, drawing cheers from the crowd.
Apmozart encouraged the fan to enjoy the rest of the show, assuring her the perpetrator would be caught.

The next day, Hangzhou police announced the detention of a 25-year-old man surnamed Luo at his home. He faces up to 15 days of detention under China's Administrative Penalties Law on Public Security. Police also urged the concert organizers to improve security measures.
In a subsequent livestream, Apmozart revealed that although they had sealed the venue and contacted law enforcement, the man had initially escaped. However, police were able to track him down using surveillance footage and videos provided by audience members.
Apmozart praised the victim, saying, "She was very brave. The event organizers and the police also did a great job."
Through his social media account with 35,000 followers, Apmozart encouraged women to defend their rights and speak out against harassment, urging them to document any evidence.
His swift and calm response to the incident also garnered widespread praise online.
Hangzhou is known for its strict handling of sexual assault cases. In 2023, the city publicly listed the names and penalties of subway harassers on a government portal, garnering support and calls for similar action nationwide.
