A murder-suicide occurred at 6 p.m. on 20/6 in Bai Bang residential group, Viet Yen ward. Driven by a romantic dispute with a 31-year-old woman, Tuyen, a resident of Bac Lung commune, reportedly stormed into her home armed with a weapon and attacked the occupants.

The woman, her 10-year-old son, and her 6-year-old daughter all died. Her adopted sister, who also lived in the home, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Viet Yen General Hospital. After the attack, Tuyen barricaded himself on the second floor and committed suicide, dying at the scene.

Only the woman's parents escaped harm, as they were not home when the incident occurred.

According to local authorities, the woman was divorced and lived with her daughter, adopted sister, and biological parents. Her 10-year-old son lived with his biological father and had only recently come to stay with his mother for a few days for summer vacation when the incident occurred.

Police are continuing to examine the scene and the bodies to clarify the case.
