Initially, he confessed to using a sharp object to stab his girlfriend following a romantic dispute.

Last night, residents in the alley on Tan Chanh Hiep 16 street, Trung My Tay ward, heard a woman's cries for help. Upon checking, they found the girl collapsed on the ground. A young man stood nearby, panicked, asking people to call for emergency services.

The victim was confirmed dead. Responding to the report, police cordoned off the scene and took the young man to the station for questioning.

According to residents, the girl was around 16 years old and the young man around 18; both were not local. They had reportedly ridden into the alley to talk before the incident occurred.
