Gaming cafe owner arrested for assaulting two teens

Nguyen Vu Hao, 30, and another man were arrested for allegedly assaulting two teenagers at a gaming cafe after discovering they had logged in using someone else's account.

On 6/7, Hao (the owner of a gaming cafe on To Ky Street, Tan Thoi Hiep Ward) and Ngo Quoc Tu, 29, were arrested by Ho Chi Minh City police for disturbing public order.

Hao admitted to assaulting the 13 and 14-year-old boys, as seen in a video circulating online. He said he attacked them after discovering they had logged into his gaming cafe using someone else's account.

The assault occurred on 23/3, but the video surfaced recently, exposing Hao and Tu's actions. Fearing arrest, they fled to Da Lat.

Ho Chi Minh City police, in coordination with Lam Dong province police, apprehended the two men at a motel in Tuy Phong district (formerly Binh Thuan).

Investigators are assessing the teens' injuries to gather further evidence and potentially pursue additional charges.

The video circulating on social media shows the two teens being assaulted by a man (identified as Hao) in the parking area of a gaming cafe and internet shop on To Ky Street, Tan Thoi Hiep Ward.

In the video, Hao, wearing a red shirt, repeatedly hits the two teens with a plastic bin lid, a dustpan, a helmet, his hands, and his feet. Even after they fall to the ground, he continues to kick them in the face.

Hao's actions sparked outrage on social media.
