Group throwing gasoline bombs at rival's house arrested

Due to a personal conflict, Nguyen Thanh Dat recruited three others to prepare gasoline bombs and throw them at a rival's house while six people were sleeping, seeking revenge.

On 17/5, Dat and his accomplices were prosecuted by Tri An Ward Police for intentional property damage.

Vo Trung Kien, 20, was released on bail, while the others remain in temporary detention.

The charges stem from an incident last month. Dat, driven by a personal conflict on social media with a 26-year-old man from Vinh An 5 residential area, recruited three individuals. They armed themselves with multiple gasoline bombs and targeted the victim's home in an act of revenge.

Around 23h on 13/4, the group observed the family and neighbors asleep. They then ignited and hurled gasoline bombs into the house's yard, shattering all the main door glass and severely damaging a motorcycle. Six people, including three children, were sleeping inside the house at the time of the attack.

Following a complaint from the victim, Tri An Ward Police apprehended the suspects.
