The incident occurred at noon two days ago. Nhat was driving a pickup truck, taking his daughter to school from Hau Nghia intersection towards Hoa Khanh commune. He stopped at a red light at the intersection of Provincial Road 825 and Ba Sa - Go Moi. At that moment, a 64-year-old man from Ho Chi Minh City, driving a 7-seat vehicle in the same direction, collided with the door of Nhat's pickup truck.
After both drivers exited their vehicles, Nhat allegedly struck the 64-year-old driver three times in the temple and kicked him, causing him to fall to the ground.
The victim was hospitalized with a brain hemorrhage and died the next day.
