On 10/5, Bac Ninh Provincial Traffic Police stopped Cong, who was carrying a passenger without a helmet and appeared to evade an alcohol checkpoint. When officers signaled him to stop for inspection, Cong allegedly refused, driving his motorbike to flee. During his apprehension, Cong verbally abused, threatened, punched, scratched, and attacked Major Nguyen Tat Nguyen Phuong, causing injuries.
The task force, with assistance from local residents, subdued Cong and handed him over to Dai Dong Commune Police. Following this incident, the police urged citizens to comply with law enforcement orders while participating in traffic, emphasizing that any acts of defiance or attacking public officials will be prosecuted.
