During an inspection of the Van Quy 7777 coffee facility in Phu Huu commune, police discovered the use of corn and soybean powder, mixed with additives, to produce fake powdered coffee. The products were sold on the market for 80,000-100,000 VND per kg.
A search of the facility yielded nearly 80 kg of finished coffee, over one ton of pre-processed raw materials, and various machinery, additives, and packaging used for production. Laboratory tests confirmed that samples of coffee produced at the facility contained no caffeine, providing evidence to classify them as counterfeit.
