On the afternoon of 13/5, a leader from Kim Phu commune stated that authorities suspect Tung committed suicide.

The body was discovered in a forest, over 3 km from the crime scene, a walk of approximately 30 minutes.

Previously, around 10:10 PM on 11/5, Cao Thi Sang, 31, residing in Yen Hop hamlet, was found dead on her bed with multiple stab wounds.

The suspect was identified as Tung. Sang and Tung had 4 children and were divorced.

After committing the crime, the suspect fled into the forest. Over 100 police officers, border guards, militia members, and local residents participated in the search.
