Man slashes individual in revenge for father

Tran Van Ngoc, 33, sought out and slashed a man who had assaulted his father, leaving the victim with 40% injuries.

On 17/3, An Giang Provincial Police temporarily detained Ngoc for intentionally causing injury and unlawful use of military weapons.

According to the investigation, on the afternoon of 26/10/2025, a 22-year-old man had a dispute and fought with Ngoc's father in Chau Doc ward. Following an intervention, the man left for his girlfriend's house in the same ward.

Approximately one hour later, Ngoc, armed with two knives, went to find the man who had assaulted his father, seeking revenge. Upon encountering him, Ngoc slashed him multiple times, causing 40% injuries.

Police assessed Ngoc's actions as thuggish, involving the use of dangerous weapons to injure another person.
