Nine arrested after street brawl

Ho Viet Huy and eight others were arrested after a predawn brawl involving machetes and BB guns left two injured.

On 24/6, Ho Viet Huy, 20, and eight individuals were arrested on urgent grounds by Dak Lak Provincial Police for disturbing public order. Eight minors involved in the case were released on bail by their families, while two injured individuals are receiving hospital treatment and await further action.

A passerby's car camera recorded two groups brawling on the ecological dam.

According to the investigation, Ho Viet Huy, 20, residing in Ea Drang commune, and Pham Van Tung, 16, had a prior dispute.

Around 1 am on 20/6, both individuals gathered dozens of others, armed with machetes, BB crossbows, and bricks, to engage in a brawl at the ecological dam in Hamlet 1. As a result, two people from Tung's group suffered severe stab wounds.

Police identified all individuals involved and seized 10 machetes and one iron BB crossbow.
