The events unfolded around 4 p.m. on 25/4. A wife, fearing for her husband's life, contacted a 31-year-old locksmith. Her husband had returned home intoxicated, locked himself in the bedroom, and was unresponsive to her repeated calls.
After the door was forced open, the husband, who was sleeping, suddenly awoke, yelling and striking the locksmith with a wooden stick. He then brandished a knife, demanding the door be "fixed before he could leave the house".
The wife intervened to explain, but her husband yelled at her. Family members eventually stepped in, allowing the locksmith to escape safely.
Di An Ward Police are coordinating with the People's Procuracy to determine the appropriate legal action.
