Police offer reward for information on two bank robbers in Gia Lai

Investigators urge the public to actively report the robbery of 1,8 billion dong from a Vietcombank branch in Gia Lai, promising a fitting reward for valuable information.

On 27/1, Gia Lai Provincial Police announced that anyone with information regarding the suspects' characteristics, vehicles, attire (shirts, pants, shoes, backpacks, helmets), or details related to burying the getaway vehicle should promptly provide it to investigators.

If suspicious individuals, their direction of travel, or any unusual signs related to the robbery of Vietcombank's Tra Ba transaction office are spotted, report them immediately to the police via hotline 113 or the nearest authorities.

Agencies, organizations, and individuals providing information about the robbery suspects will have their identities kept confidential. Anyone deliberately concealing information or failing to report it will face strict legal action as per regulations.

This initiative comes two days after authorities discovered an Exciter motorbike – matching the vehicle used by the two robbers during the crime – buried in a pine forest bordering Dien Phu Industrial Park (Dien Hong ward), about 5 km from the crime scene.

Approximately 200 m from where the motorbike was hidden, police also found an area with burn marks, suspected to be where the suspects destroyed clothes and other evidence.

The robbery occurred on the afternoon of 19/1, carried out by two suspects. One, approximately 40 years old and about 1,65 m tall, spoke with a northern accent; the other, around 30 years old and about 1,68 m tall, spoke with a southern accent. They rode an Exciter motorbike, wore masks, Grab ride-hailing company uniforms and helmets, and carried backpacks to the bank's transaction office on Truong Chinh street, Hoi Phu ward.

Inside, both suspects brandished guns (type unknown), threatened employees, stole approximately 1,8 billion dong, and quickly fled on the motorbike.
