Vuong Vinh An, 40, was arrested yesterday afternoon in Ho Chi Minh City, hours after allegedly robbing a convenience store. Police reported that An tested positive for drugs upon his arrest.
Early yesterday morning, An entered a Circle K store on Duong Dinh Nghe street, wearing a helmet and mask. He pretended to shop, observing the premises.
In an unexpected turn, while a staff member was processing payment, An suddenly pulled a gun-like object from his pocket. He then threatened the employee and took 2,2 million VND before fleeing on a motorbike.

Following the report, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Board of Directors directed Binh Thoi ward, in coordination with the Criminal Police Department and other specialized units, to launch an investigation.
