A traffic police patrol unit in Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Department) reported that on the morning of 7/8, while patrolling Tran Phu Street, they received a report of a traffic collision at the intersection of Tran Phu and Tue Tinh (Nha Trang ward) and responded to the scene.

At the scene, Traffic Police Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Tung Giang observed that a Russian man had collided his motorbike with another vehicle. Witnessing a heated argument between the two parties, with the foreign man appearing intoxicated, Lieutenant Colonel Giang intervened to mediate.

According to the Nha Trang traffic police unit, while Lieutenant Colonel Giang was assessing the scene, the Russian man demanded the return of his motorbike. Lieutenant Colonel Giang refused and returned to his duties when the man suddenly struck him in the face, causing the officer's nose and mouth to bleed.

Police immediately subdued the man and handed him over to the Nha Trang Ward Police for processing. While Lieutenant Colonel Giang's uniform was bloodied, his health was not seriously affected.

The investigating authorities are currently looking into the incident and have not yet released further information.
