Police initiated their investigation after discovering a video showing the confrontation. The footage captured two groups of teenagers fighting on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street in Xuan Hoa ward.
Utilizing security camera footage and verification, Xuan Hoa Ward Police, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Police Criminal Police Department, identified individuals involved. They were subsequently brought in for questioning at the headquarters.
Initial statements revealed the conflict began when a 15-year-old believed his girlfriend had been insulted. He then gathered several friends to arrange a "talk" with the opposing group.
The confrontation occurred on the afternoon of 26/6. When the two sides met on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street, they immediately engaged in a fight. A car's dashcam recorded the scene: two groups attacking each other, with two motorbikes and an electric bicycle fallen mid-road. One individual, after falling, was repeatedly punched, kicked, and struck with a wooden stick by multiple attackers.
Police are currently compiling records and taking statements to process these two groups of teenagers.
