On 17/5, An Giang Provincial Police announced the temporary detention of Ms. Huong, 55, residing in To Chau ward, for abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the lawful rights and interests of organizations and individuals.

According to the investigating agency, Ms. Huong often wrote complaint and denunciation letters for hire for others. She then sent these letters to many central and local agencies, even though the incidents did not concern her.

Police accuse the female teacher of continuing to send letters with distorted, slanderous, and insulting content targeting many organizations and individuals, despite competent authorities having resolved the matters according to regulations. Her actions reportedly negatively affected local security and order.

Police are clarifying the suspect's motive.
