Ho Chi Minh City Police are detaining Nguyen Van Hoang Khanh, 25, from Tay Ninh province, for allegedly assaulting a tech cab driver and smashing the vehicle's window on 1/9.

The incident occurred around 10:20 PM on 29/8. The driver was transporting a passenger on DT 743 Road from Ho Chi Minh City towards Dong Nai when a dispute arose with Khanh over splashed water.

Upon reaching Binh Phuoc B Quarter, An Phu Ward (formerly Binh Duong), between the toll booths, Khanh blocked the cab. He walked to the driver's side window and began shouting. Khanh then suddenly smashed the driver's side window with his helmet and physically assaulted the driver. He proceeded to rip off the front license plate, throw it at the windshield, and kick the side mirror. Khanh stopped only when bystanders intervened, then fled on his motorbike.

After receiving the driver's report, Ho Chi Minh City Police investigated and apprehended the suspect.
