On 12/9, Chiang and her lawyer went to the Shilin District Prosecutors Office to give a statement and file a complaint against Kung. Due to jurisdictional issues, the Shilin office requested the Taiwan High Prosecutors Office to transfer the case to the Taipei office for investigation.
To secure relevant evidence, the Taipei District Prosecutors Office applied for and received a search warrant from the Taipei City Court. On 15/9, police searched two of Kung's residences but did not find any suspected drugs, sleeping pills, or tranquilizers.
The investigation is ongoing.

On 18/8, Chiang posted on social media about an actress who was allegedly raped and secretly filmed by a television station employee. She also mentioned other female employees at the station had been sexually harassed.
On 2/9, Chiang publicly identified the accused as Kung Yi-ting, the son of Kung Mei-fu, the Deputy General Manager of Sanlih E-Television. Chiang then revealed she was the victim and that Kung, 22 years her junior, was her former boyfriend.
Chiang explained she left a friend's party early on the morning of 16/8 because she felt unwell. Kung followed her home. Chiang asked Kung to get her heart medication, but she believes he replaced it with two types of tranquilizers.
She said she lost consciousness immediately after taking the medication and woke up to discover she had been sexually assaulted and filmed. She demanded an apology and the deletion of the video, but Kung claimed he had cloud backups. Unable to bear the situation, Chiang went public on social media.
Chiang plans to sue Kung for sexual assault and seek 13 million New Taiwan dollars (approximately 420,000 USD) in damages, which she intends to donate to a wildlife rescue center.
In response to the allegations, Kung admitted to dating Chiang for 10 months but said they kept the relationship private to protect her career. He denied the sexual assault allegations and stated he would defend his legal rights.
The Shilin District Prosecutors Office opened an investigation on 4/9.
Kung Mei-fu resigned on 7/9 and issued an apology after the incident sparked public outrage.
Chiang Tsu-ping, born in 1978, entered the entertainment industry at 19 and rose to fame with her role as Yu Ru in the 2002 martial arts TV series 'Wind and Cloud', co-starring with Zhao Wenzhuo and Ho Run Tung. She has appeared in several other films and TV series, including 'Pawnshop No. 8' (2003), 'The Daughters of a Thousand Gold' (2004), 'The Last Princess' (2006), 'Honest Hero' (2011), and 'The Legend of Crazy Monk' (2014).
