Early this morning, Ms. Hong reported to the police station that she had forgotten her handbag in a Xanh SM taxi when getting off at an apartment complex on Ton That Thuyet Street. According to her, the bag contained 20 million VND in cash, 9 taels of 9999 gold, a pair of 9-ly diamond earrings, a 300 million VND savings book, and various personal documents. The total estimated value of the assets was over 3 billion VND.

Upon receiving the information, Vinh Hoi Ward Police extracted area camera footage and reviewed the vehicle's travel route to identify the driver.

By 8:00 AM this morning, police identified the taxi driver as Mr. Trong and contacted him. The driver voluntarily returned the passenger's entire handbag to its owner.

Upon inspection, the assets and documents in the handbag perfectly matched Ms. Hong's description. After recovering her valuable possessions within hours, she expressed gratitude for the local police's dedication and the driver's honesty.

People should thoroughly check their belongings when exiting public transportation. If assets are lost, remain calm and immediately contact the nearest police agency for prompt assistance.
