T&T Group's journey pursuing the 'creating from the heart' philosophy

In Lao Cai, there is a place named Hanh Phuc (Happiness). Every brick and wall built there not only creates homes for residents but also serves as a testament to T&T Group's "creating from the heart" philosophy.

Thousands of happy homes have been built by T&T Group over the past three decades.

T&T Group and SHB Bank have partnered with ministries and agencies to provide gifts to many disadvantaged households nationwide.

One late November afternoon, Giang A Nu from Dong Nuoc hamlet, An Luong commune, Lao Cai, returned home earlier than usual. He carried a newly purchased television, eager to install it before Tet. Amidst his small, newly whitewashed home, Nu's gaze settled on familiar items, bringing a sense of peace.

One year ago, the remnants of typhoon Yagi caused cracks in the ground of Dong Nuoc hamlet where Nu lived. The fissures, extending for hundreds of meters, forced 35 households to abandon their homes and temporarily live in tents at the foot of the hill. Upon receiving the information, T&T Group, led by Chairman Hien, quickly mobilized resources and provided support for the local authorities to build 35 new homes for the affected residents.

Giang A Nu is one of thousands across the country who have received support from T&T Group over many years. During the post-typhoon Yagi relief effort alone, T&T Group allocated tens of billions of VND to rebuild and repair homes for households in provinces such as Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Phu Tho, and Bac Giang. Concurrently, T&T Group and SHB Bank partnered with the Ministry of Public Security to construct 150 houses and one school in northern mountainous provinces. A few months later, Chairman Hien's two enterprises continued to collaborate with the Ministry of Public Security, donating 700 houses to disadvantaged households in Bac Lieu province (formerly).

During the two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, T&T Group and its ecosystem businesses also consistently supported the Party, government, and local people in the fight against the pandemic.

Thousands of happy homes are part of T&T's quiet dedication to the community. In 2019, T&T Group contributed 60 billion VND to Ha Giang (formerly) to build 1,000 charitable homes for the poor and those who rendered meritorious services to the revolution. In 3/2022, entrepreneur Do Quang Hien's family and businesses within the ecosystem further donated 20 billion VND to eliminate temporary housing for poor households in Dien Bien province.

Most recently, in late 10/2025, the Group continued to sponsor 10 billion VND to build and repair over 100 "great solidarity" homes for meritorious service families, poor, and near-poor households in Kieu Phu commune, Hanoi. All these homes are scheduled for handover by late 12/2025.

On the groundbreaking day, Nguyen Thi Duong, a resident about to receive her dream home after tens of years of waiting, could not hide her emotion: "This new home is not just a physical shelter but also a great source of spiritual encouragement for our family to rise, to overcome difficulties."

Meanwhile, in An Luong, Giang A Nu and 34 other households have moved into their new homes, still smelling of fresh paint. A peaceful rhythm of life gradually returned to Dong Nuoc, with the sound of children playing happily near warm kitchen hearths. Like many neighbors, A Nu had time to furnish his home with more items in anticipation of Tet. He shared: "Thanks to the generosity of philanthropists, and T&T Group, we can now build a future with much hope."

T&T Group actively contributes to the renovation and preservation of historical relics.

For over three decades, T&T Group has consistently supported the nation. During natural disasters, T&T personnel did not shy away from hardship, traveling to remote villages to deliver aid. Thousands of projects to build, repair, and reconstruct homes and schools are carried out each year. Tens of thousands of scholarships and sponsorships are awarded to poor students and disadvantaged children nationwide.

Entrepreneur Do Quang Hien stated that the journey of creating happiness from the heart has been continuous for over 30 years.

This journey was initiated by Founder and Executive Chairman Do Quang Hien and has spread as a cultural trait throughout the entire T&T ecosystem. Annually, "happiness convoys" from T&T Group, SHB, SHS Securities JSC, and others still travel to all regions to share kindness. The Group's employees also contribute billions of VND to support compatriots across the country in special circumstances.

For instance, over 80,000 employees contributed at least one day's salary each to purchase food and necessities for people facing difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic. The total value of these gifts exceeded 1 billion VND. T&T Group employees also readily donated hundreds of millions of VND to support compatriots affected by storms, floods, and natural disasters.

Notably, during the two years the country was impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, T&T Group always supported the Party, government, and local people in the fight against the pandemic. According to statistics, the total amount that the Group, along with SHB Bank and businesses in its ecosystem, donated exceeded 1.5 trillion VND.

Beyond supporting the nation during difficult times, Chairman Hien's enterprise also contributes to the renovation and preservation of historical relics to honor the past. In late 2023, the Group launched a project to renovate the Bac Giang Stadium's B grandstand, with a total cost of approximately 15 billion VND. The structure was inaugurated in 5/2025.

T&T Group was also entrusted with the task of surveying, researching, planning, designing, and constructing the conservation, renovation, and value promotion plan for the Special National Relic Site of President Ho Chi Minh's Memorial Area. In 11/2023, the Cultural Tourism Area project and the 9-tier Waterfall project at Ba Hoang Thi Loan's tomb in Nam Dan, Nghe An, commenced. The project has now been completed and is a historical-cultural destination not to be missed when visiting Uncle Ho's homeland.

In Quang Tri, the group sponsored the construction of lighting and sound systems at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Special National Relic Site, and Hien Luong - Ben Hai Double Banks Special National Relic Site. Most recently, in 9/2025, T&T Group and SHB Bank partnered with local authorities to complete the renovation of the memorial site where 16 youth volunteers sacrificed in 9/1972 at Long Dai ferry (Truong Ninh commune).

A deeper understanding of entrepreneur Do Quang Hien's philosophy reveals the extent of the community contribution journey this enterprise consistently pursues. According to Hien, the Group's current development is thanks to society's trust and affection. "Therefore, I must strive to work more, contribute more to repay a part of that," Hien once shared.

Hien also affirmed that T&T Group and the businesses within its ecosystem always aim to bring prosperity to customers and partners, enhance the quality of life for people, and contribute to the nation's strong, prosperous development.

This is evident in many investment decisions that, according to Hien, are undertaken "even without profit." One key example is the Quang Tri airport project. In 2021, T&T Group was assigned the task of surveying, planning, and implementing the construction of Quang Tri airport. The head of T&T Group emphasized: Although there is no immediate profit, along with other large-scale energy, infrastructure, and real estate projects, Quang Tri airport will be a driving force for Quang Tri's future growth. More importantly, the project also realizes the long-held aspiration of Quang Tri's people to shorten the North-South journey, facilitating travel for local residents, families of fallen soldiers and comrades who fought and sacrificed in the Quang Tri battlefield, and international friends visiting Quang Tri's land and people.

For over 32 years, T&T's journey of creating happiness has never ceased. Whenever needed, that convoy will continue to travel hundreds of kilometers to reach difficult areas and people requiring shared support from generous hearts.
